Hinged Door Wardrobes That Open to Everything You Own
Tall hinged doors, detailed panels and carefully chosen handles give a bedroom the feel of a fine home. It is a wardrobe that looks as good closed as it does open.
A Wardrobe You Can See into All at Once

A hinged door wardrobe, also called a swing door wardrobe, has doors that open outward on hinges. Sliding doors always cover one half of the wardrobe. Hinged doors open fully, so you see the entire interior at the same time. This makes getting dressed quicker, and it lets every shelf, drawer and rail be planned for easy reach from the front. With no tracks on the floor or ceiling, the doors close flat and even. This gives you a clean front that can be lacquered, paneled, framed in glass, or left without handles.

Hinged doors suit master bedrooms, guest rooms, children's rooms and dressing areas where there is space in front of the wardrobe. Plan for about 60 cm of clear floor. Narrower doors of 40 to 45 cm reduce this if the room is tight. They fit a full wall, the space around a bed, an alcove, or a room with a sloped ceiling where sliding tracks cannot run. The doors themselves also add storage: a full-length mirror on the inside, a rack for ties and belts, or lights that switch on as the door opens.

At Al Meera we design and build every hinged door wardrobe in our own factory, so door widths, heights and interiors are sized to your room and what you own. A long hanging section for abayas, dresses and coats, shallow drawers for accessories, and deeper ones for folded clothes are all planned around your wardrobe, not taken from a standard unit.

Materials That Make the Difference
Carcasses are made from moisture resistant MDF or plywood. Doors come in matte or high gloss lacquer, laminate, acrylic, wood veneer, fluted panels. Soft close hinges bring each door shut gently and quietly, and tall doors get extra hinges so they hang straight for years. Handles are available in brass, chrome or matte black, or you can go handleless with push to open or a finger groove. Laminate and acrylic are the easiest to keep clean, while lacquer and veneer give a richer look with a little more care. We show you samples side by side so you can compare colour, feel and price before you decide.
