A Customized Space Designed by Rawana Saed and Built by Al Meera

Dubai-based content creators Miled & Melissa are known for sharing lifestyle, entertainment, and feel-good moments with their audience. Their home plays an important role in their content and daily life, where they relax, host guests, and film videos.

The salon had recently been redesigned by interior designer Rawana Saed, giving the space a fresh and modern look. Now it was time for the TV wall and coffee corner which was still part of the older setup. Visually, it felt disconnected from the newly renovated area. To complete the space, Rawana designed a new customized TV unit and coffee corner.

After exploring their options, they decided to trust Al Meera for the materials and to install the new TV unit and coffee corner that would blend perfectly with their lifestyle and existing interior.

From the first meeting, Miled & Melissa were clear about what they wanted. The design had to feel:

• Bright with well-planned lighting

• Elegant but not overdone

• Matching the already renovated salon area

Because their home already had multiple colors and textures, they didn’t want anything too bold. At the same time, they didn’t want something too plain, it had to strike the right balance. They were also particular about color matching. Since the salon area was already finished, the new TV unit had to connect naturally with it. This required careful color selection and material coordination.

Thankfully, Al Meera offered many color options and finishes. After reviewing samples and combinations, they were able to choose the exact shades that matched their home perfectly.

Understanding Their Lifestyle

Once the design was finalized, Miled & Melissa visited Al Meera to select the materials and finishes. They explored different textures and shades, comparing bold options with softer tones. Since the salon already had a defined character, softer colors were the better choice to maintain harmony.

The combination of Sand Stone and Beige Super Matt created warmth and softness. Carrara Gold porcelain added a luxury touch without overpowering the room. The porcelain worktop in the coffee corner added elegance while being durable and easy to maintain.

Lighting was also carefully designed. Soft LED lighting highlights the textures and creates depth on the wall. It gives a cozy glow in the evening and enhances the beauty of the finishes.

Overcoming the Challenge

Since the house had been recently renovated, one challenge was blending the new installation with the existing interior. The TV area was the only part that had not been updated earlier.

Matching tones and proportions were very important. Even a small difference in shade could affect the overall harmony of the space. By carefully comparing samples and adjusting details, Al Meera ensured the final result looked like it was always meant to be there — not something added later.

Another key focus was storage. The couple wanted bigger storage but without making the design look bulky. The solution was sleek cabinetry with clean lines that hides storage inside while maintaining a minimal exterior.
